Meet Ryan…

Hey, everyone. Thanks for joining me on this journey. I wanted to share a little bit about my story, starting with what I’m doing now, where I’ve been and what led me to start this site. My name is Ryan Weaver and I’m the founder of Dream Again Ministries and creator of fuel2ignite, a site designed to provide biblical encouragement in the daily struggles of life. For the last decade or so, I have been doing ministry bi-vocationally, which is a fancy way of saying I work another job to pay the bills while doing ministry wherever the Lord opens the doors. I also serve as an Area Manager in the logistics and delivery field.

Before that, I spent 11 years on staff as a Youth & Children’s Pastor before becoming the founding pastor of Harvest Cove Community Church, which later was renamed Pursuit Church and recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. I spent 6-plus years as the founding pastor before going through pastor burnout and leaving the ministry for a season.

Before entering ministry, I spent 6 years in sports journalism, working in various roles, including as a copy desk assistant, sports writer and serving multiple stints as a sports editor.

I have been married to my best friend, Kennetha Free Weaver, for 31 years. We have three adult daughters, Jordan, Hannah, and Morgan, a grandson, Leo, and a grandson-to-be, Jack, on the way.

I love Jesus, spending time with family, hanging with great friends, pulling for my favorite teams (even the bad ones), eating good food and playing with my dogs or anyone’s dogs, really.

My story is much like yours, filled with tragedy and triumphs, success and failure, self-inflicted wounds and stretches where I occasionally get it right. I’ve had broken dreams and new visions, experienced painful loss and exciting new additions, had moments of plenty and seasons of very little, and have experienced brokenness and renewal. Through it all, the Lord has been so kind and gracious to me and has never left or forsaken me.

I’ve learned so much through it all and I want to share those lessons with others. One thing I have noticed is there is very little encouragement in the world today and so much criticism and so many attacks. I want to come alongside people and cheer them on to encourage them to keep fighting, keep trusting, keep dreaming. The goal of fuel2ignite is to provide biblical encouragement to help spur you on. I’ll be sharing stories from my life and from scripture as we journey together. My hope and prayer is to let you know that you are not alone and that God is going to use even the hardest things you’ve been through to bring glory and honor to His name. The reason I know that is that He did it in my life. I promise He will do it in yours as well.
